”STCD” super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad are our latest diamond tool development and results in a superior floor with reduced steps.

The ceramic polishing pad is designed to transition from a metal bond diamond grinding process to a resin polishing process. These diamonds polishing pads are designed to work on medium and large planetary and rotary machines.
Features& Notes:
1. The extremely sharp Ceramic pads to replace most metal bond stages on hard concrete C40+ (40 mpa), they grind far better than a soft bond metal and remove a serious amount of stock exposing aggregates with ease. No glazing, fade and random scratching.
2.  Works well on hard concrete.C40+ (40 mpa). Also works well on other surfaces such as terrazzo. On medium or soft concrete, it will wear out quickly. Not recommended!
3. Control the floor grinder speed at 400-500 RPM. 
4.  No additional weight on the grinder
5.  Stop the machine if burning marks appear in the flooring profile. Check the burning marks where the curing compound has built up on the ceramic pads and scrape off the burning marks before continuing.

USAGE:

Concrete floor is considered to be hard when tested above 6000 psi and above a 7 on the MOHS scale.  The initial opening or cutting is very difficult for these hard concrete floors and the diamonds experience a hard time in penetrating the concrete and grinding it.  When trying to grind hard concrete floors, choosing a diamond with a soft bond is critical. 

Choosing a diamond tool with a smaller surface area and in extreme cases wetting the concrete in front of the grinder can increase production rates and help the diamonds cut and stay cool.  The recommended operating speed is 5 – 7 on a scale of 1 -10 for large floor grinding machines with variable speed controllers.

On concrete floors with topical curing chemicals, the recommended process is as follows:

Process 1 (if aggregate must be exposed)

30 Grit Metal

50 grit super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad

100 grit super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad

Densifier

400 grit super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad

800 grit Resin

1500 grit resin

Process 2 (if “salt and pepper” must be exposed)

60/80 Grit Metal

100 grit super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad

Densifier

400 grit super true ceramic transitional diamond polishing pad

800 grit Resin

1500 grit resin

On concrete floors without topical curing chemicals, the recommended process is the same as above except the metal step may be removed.
